'Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving'
Where we are and what we can offer
You will find us just outside the university city of Plymouth in South Devon. A few miles in one direction you will find the City, a couple of miles in another direction you will find the sea and some beautiful beaches and in the opposite direction there is Dartmoor; so we have the best of 3 worlds!!
Our Cotons live in our home with us and not in kennels with 2 large gardens, surrounded by countryside and of course loads of places to visit including several beautiful National Trust Houses with stunning walks.
We can offer you the best choice of stud dogs available in Britain (only to approved bitches). All 3 stud dogs have been fully health tested., all are clear from IVDD and you can find all inclusive results on their own pages.
We are the only kennel in the United Kingdom that could afford you the opportunity to meet several generations of our Cotonkiss lines; and we have some of the most famous dogs in the world behind our Cotonkiss lines.
A little bit about our human family
Originally I was born in London but was brought up in Plymouth from a very young age; a place steeped in history and globally recognised as the place that the pilgrim fathers left from to find a better life in the United States of America many many years ago.
My husband was born and raised in Scotland; however we met while we were both serving in the Royal Navy and settled for the foremost of our married life on Devon’s beautiful south coast and this is where in 1997 we began our new challenge with importing the Coton de Tulear into the UK and the start of ‘Cotonkiss’.
Our daughter Emma who could be seen around the dog shows at a ripe old age of 3 or 4 years of age chatting and laughing and obviously embarrassingly telling all our secrets to all fellow exhibitors and judges alike; she has since then graduated from University and is a career girl as a Psychiatric Nurse.
